Local children are against an industrial nation for the Philippines because it will ruin the eco system and hurt our tourism industry, even though they need and want labor jobs an industrial nation would provide. E-jeepneys or electric jeepneys are manufactured now in the Philippines. The “Equad” can be used as an electric self-owned family transportation and EJEEPNEY has electric motorcycles. When the BIG THREE – General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler could not stay profitable; it was the tourism industry that kept the State of Michigan’s economy going. The Tigers haven’t won a World Series in years and neither has the Pistons won an NBA championship recently. I doubt it was the Lions that attracted more tourism revenue. Outdoor sports like fishing and hunting probably. I understand our children’s concerns about an industrial nation, but we do need affordable forms of transportation. Tourism might be more Long Term and stable, a turtle economy. But electric self-owned vehicles, we have the technology and the expertise to manufacture.... Read More »
